When the time comes, please read the material about UCD conferrings here, where it gives the rules about dates, academic dress code etc.
An odd request: Sometimes the conferring unit does not follow its own schedule and confers ASE students without me hearing about it. If you get notification that you are being conferred, please me (Mel) know!
