This page provides a template document and some useful resources for anyone who wants to use Latex to write their dissertation.
The template provided here was created using the MikTeX package and WinEdt. You may have to do some tweaking if you're using another Latex package. BTW, if possible use "pdflatex" rather than plain Latex.
Dowload this file. It contains the following files:

• report_template.tex: A sample report with fake text.
• report_template.pdf: This is what report_template.tex should look like if you latex it correctly.
• final_report.cls: The Latex class file. Try not to edit this file (too much)!
• logo.pdf: the UCD logo.
